“There are three things that grow more precious with age; old wood to burn, old books to read, and old friends to enjoy.” — Henry Ford

Shameeka Gibbs, Nikelle King, Donnette Brown, TrudyAnn Hewitt and Rachael Jones, these are the names of the ladies pictures above. They are like peas in a pod. They connected almost 15 years ago at a Marriage group and have been friends ever sense. Even when they live in different states, they still make time to see each other. They didn’t get to do it much during Covid so they made the most of this weekend together. Each of them have kids and the ones that are close in age are also friends. Their favorite memories from their weekend together was the pajama party, the photoshoot celebrating their friendship and Sunday Brunch.
One of the thing that makes them unique is that they are all working moms, wives and leaders making impacts and creating legacies in their communities. They also like a good Beyoncé song. To keep in touch when they are apart, they have a group text chat that is very active and do facetime/zoom calls consistently.
It was so much fun to capture these women together. They were laid back and just fun. You could tell they were ready for a weekend on the town and I loved being apart of it.
